About project

At the end of 2009 RTS Exchange made a decision to build a new headquarters located in the center of Moscow on ul. Vozdvizhenka. The new company office was designed to improve a stock exchange image, correspond to the organization’s new style, and show an openness, transparency and versatility of the leading Russian trading site. In its turn, the new office should become an important component of the stock exchange’s marketing strategy at IPO.

Project Aims and Objectives

  • Equip the new RTS Exchange office with latest generation engineering and IT infrastructure;
  • Fit all infrastructure elements to a modern interior, underline its versatility and compliance with company’s rebranding;
  • Complete all works within 6 months.

Solutions Used in the Project

  • More than 1500 Category 6 SCS ports are implemented on the basis of Tyco Electronics AMP solutions;
  • An OM-3 class optical highway has been built, with a rate up to 10 Gbit/s;
  • An uninterruptible electrical power supply system for 700 work stations has been implemented using Schneider Electric electric cabinet equipment and Legrand wiring equipment;
  • 8 turnstiles to control ground floor areas, and also more than 70 scanners that use Proximity cards have been installed;
  • CCTV system is based on Axis IP solutions, Cisco Systems network equipment and HP storage systems;
  • A system to receive radio and satellite television has been installed, including an antenna unit, head station to receive TV program packets, switches to distribute signals and a subscriber distribution network;
  • The corporate campus network for 700 users is based on Cisco Systems equipment;
  • An Avaya solution has been used for the IP telephone system for 600 subscribers;
  • The multimedia system complex is based on NEC, Polycom and Extron equipment;
  • An air conditioning system based on HiRef precision conditioners has been delivered, where N+1 redundancy is used;
  • A dispatching and control system based on Delta Controls equipment has been put into operation.

Results and opportunities

Thanks to cooperation with iCore, RTS Exchange received a reliable and hi-tech office, equipped with the latest equipment, that meets current company requirements and has reserve taking into account further business development. In 2011, the project was awarded at Best Office Awards 2011, and is today one of our company’s objects of pride.
